The PTA, the Portuguese Transpersonal Association, based in Lisbon is the centre for transpersonal activities in Portugal. This site also attracts a number of visitors from Brasil and other Portugues speaking countries in South America.

Since then it has organized several scientific and experiential activities, including lectures, workshops, seminars and several international conferences, like the following: September 1999, "Transpersonal Psychology: Balance, Transformation, Transmutation"; the 2nd symposium of Alubrat, about “The Unconscious: other approaches”; the 3rd International Conference, “Transpersonal Psychology: Science and Application in the 3rd Milenium”; the rd Symposium of Alubrat, about “Spiritual Emergency and Religious Crisis: Pathology, Equilibrium and Expansion of Consciousness”, or the 6th Internationla Congress of Alubrat, on “Myths and Archetypes: a Transpersonal Vision” (2008). The Association tries to develop at least three areas: Diffusion, Psychotherapies and Research.
