The European Transpersonal AssociationPress ReleasePreliminary List of Russian Presenters for the EUROTAS Moscow Conference LONDON March 1, 2005 - EUROTAS, the European Transpersonal Association today annouced the preliminary list of Russian presenters at the EUROTAS Conference to be held June 23-26 in Moscow. The list of presenters reflects some of the most respected voices in the field of transpersonal psychology, religious studies and transpersonal affairs. Presenters come from all over the Russian Federation and represent all disciplines of the study of transpersonal affairs. The EUROTAS 2005 Conference, titled Human Consciousness, Human Values in an Interconnected World follows the hugely successful 2004 EUROTAS Conference in London. The results of the 2004 event spawned a book and saw representatives from over 30 countries travel to take part in one of the largest transpersonal conferences ever organised. The 2005 event continues the theme of encouraging speakers and presenters from the host nation. The high caliber of Russian speakers reflects the huge growth and interest in thetranspersonal sphere since the breakup of the former Soviet Union. Event organiser Vladimir Maykov, head of the Russian Transpersonal Federation noted that the event has received a huge amount of interest not only from Russia and Europe but also from the other continents. Organisers hope that this event will see participants from all continents. Note to Workshop Presenters: Please specify, if you need some special equipment for your presentation (slide projector, computer projector, mike, overhead projector, CD player, tape player, DVD player, etc). We will try to arrange what we can. We are still receiving proposals for the workshops and presentations. During the conference we will organize signing up for the workshops and if a workshop does not have sufficient people (less then 5 people signed) it will cancel it as in London. So, to help people to understand your presentation, please send us a clear SHORT summary of your presentation and bio. It is obviously a sadness and a difficulty for people if they do not present and we will help you as much as possible to connect you with your potential students, but the Conference resources are very limited and we should also save money (around 100 Euros for each workshop room and from 40 to 150 Euros for additional equipment). The current preliminary program is a draft and almost every day we're receiving new information (proposals, questions, comments, etc.) concerning the contents & format of the Conference events & making the adequate changes. The detailed (but, we foresee, not final) program description with particular schedule & titles will not appear before the middle of May. |
