The Romainian Transpersonal Association (PTA)

The Romanian Association For Transpersonal Psychology is the only organization in Romania in the field of transpersonal psychology.

MISSION

To promote the transpersonal psychology and the transpersonal perspective in education, arts and in each component of the Romanian society. To develop the transpersonal perspective and to draw in the resources to support the field. To promote the Romanian transpersonal psychology internationally.

ACTIVITIES

• Organizes and participates in the seminaries, conferences, symposia in order to fulfill its mission.
• Periodically publishes journals, articles, magazines or other media materials containing data about transpersonal psychology, its new developments, research etc.
• Collaborates with other interested associations, institutions (in Romania or abroad) and organizations.
• Initiates and facilitates scientifically meetings between representatives of religions and the spiritual traditions which study the evolution of human being and his relation with Divinity.
• Supports and promotes the inclusion of transpersonal field in the academic curricula.
• Supports students and young researchers to realize studies in the transpersonal field.
• Creates a national network including persons and organization interested in transpersonal.
• Establishes a transpersonal public library

PROJECTS

• Getting affiliated to the European Association for Transpersonal Psychology and International Association for Transpersonal Psychology. Also, ARPT is to establish relations with other national transpersonal associations, International Association for Spiritual Psychiatry. We already contacted Association for Transpersonal Psychology in USA, and a few national associations in Europe. In Romania we collaborate with The Romanian Association of the Professional Psychologists, Romanian Society for Experiential Psychotherapy, Romanian Society of Neurosciences.
• Publishing the first number of the "Romanian Journal of Transpersonal Psychology" (July, 2002). And at this moment (March 2006) the no 6 at the printers
• ARPT distributes an On-Line "Bulletin of Transpersonal Psychology" (in romanian). Its previous numbers are available on our site or at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BuletinARPT.
• In November 2005 the second "National Conference of Transpersonal Psychology" had a big success . It was include 7 sections for transpersonal art and education, spiritual counselling and transpersonal psychology, study of consciousness, multidisciplinary researches, etc.
• Starting the preparations for the first "National Conference of Transpersonal Psychology". It will include sections for transpersonal art and education, spiritual counseling and transpersonal psychology, study of consciousness, multidisciplinary researches, etc.
• Setting up branches in every important towns of Romania. Until now we have branches in Iasi, Constanta and Timisoara. 
• ARPT intends to found an "Institute of Transpersonal". It will offer professional high quality services for those who are interested to work in the transpersonal field. The beneficiaries will include psychologists, therapists and people who want to learn and "feel" the transpersonal perspective.

MEMBERSHIP

Every person can join Romanian Association for Transpersonal Psychology. The only condition required: to respect the principles and values of transpersonal psychology and to work in order to actualize all his/her potentialities.

There are two types of membership:

Professional - reserved to those who studied humanistic sciences (psychology, theology, sociology etc.)

Simple - for everyone interested in transpersonal field. The membership fee is 10 USD for employees and 7 USD for students. Up to this point, we have 130 new professional members and 70 simple members.

ARPT publishes from January 2002 a monthly On-Line Bulletin (in romanian), available on our site. The bulletin is electronically delivered to anyone interested. Until now The Bulletin has 500 subscribers.

• Organizarea sesiunilor de psihologie transpersonala in cadrul conferintelor nationale de psihologie organizate de asociatia Psihologilor din Romania(Neptun-2002,Calimanesti-2004)
• Organizarea Conferintei Europene a EUROTAS, Sinaia,2003.Au participat reprezentanti din 16 tari europene, SUA, Australia si Japonia.
• Organizarea Conferintei Europene a ETPA, Timisoara,2004. Au participat reprezentanti din peste 7 tari europene.
• Organizarea a 2 Conferinte Nationale de Psihologie Umanista si Transpersonala (Bucuresti, 2003, 2005) la care s-au sustinut peste 100 de lucrari si au participat aproape 400 de personae.
• Publicarea Jurnalului de Psihologie Transpersonala ( 5 numere)
• Publicarea si distribuirea ,,Buletinului de Psihologie Transpersonala“(on-line).Acesta are o aparitie periodica, pana in present fiind distribuite 25 de numere, avand peste 500 de abonati.
• Infiintarea cursurilor universitare de psihologie transpersonala: in cadrul Facultatii de Psihologie si Asistenta Sociala a Universitatii „Petre Andrei“, Iasi(sustinut de prof.univ.dr.Ion Manzat din 2002) si in cadrul Facultatii de Psihologie, Universitatea de Vest din Timisoara(sustinut de prof.univ.dr.Anca Munteanu din 2003).
• Participarea la infiintarea si dezvoltarea Centrului de Explorare a Visurilor, cu sprijinul expertului international Strephon Kaplan-Williams.
• Participarea la Conferinta EUROTAS 2002 de la Lisabona.
• Participarea la Conferinta EUROTAS 2004 de la Londra.
• Promovarea Psihologiei Transpersonale prin emisiuni televizate (TV SIGMA, ANTENA 1, OTV)
• Organizarea grupului de discutii pe internet „transpersonal.ro“.
