Eurotas Conference in Milan
« on: 13. November 2009, 20:35:44 »
I would like to open up the topic of people's feedback following the October conference in Milan explore together our ideas for our involvement and the activities of EUROTAS.  It seems that part of my path is about taking the discoveries and the very useful applications of our work out into the world.  While I'm sure we are each doing that in our therapy practices and in some of our professional activities, it would be interesting to take this further and explore the potentials and means of applying our work and research in the world.  Does anyone have an interesting topic to share on this subject?  I am interested to know what is being done already and what we can do in the future.

well I am runing transpersonal seminars in China and Mexico apart from other countries.
China is very intresting, they are very open to new ideas, but I need to exercise great care there, words like spiritual or any words that might be understood as 'religious' are not accepted and if you percieved as a spiritual leader or preacher you might get into trouble.
on the other hand working in Mexico is a real celebration, seems like the transpersonal soul have been there long before us, when working there i feel I am just helping to confirm and release what was always there.

this are only 2 small short examples, from the 2 countries i have been working in, i find it important to take the message to different corners of the world, for me it is a very enriching experience, and I would like to see some more work done with cultural diversity, my focus is not necessary what are the cultural differences but what are the cultural similarities, the more i look into it, the more I have a deeper understanding what Jung was trying to say by his concept of the collective unconscious.
So thank you for opening this discussion I hope it will generate interest for coperation

Dear Margot
I want to thank you for your contribution to the forum
as you have noticed I am the only one who has responded.
It is very sad, I have tried in the past to be motivating, provocative, yes `'the world is waiting for us' now more then ever before.
we need to get out of our spiritual cave and start to have a global transpersonal vision.
as I have a school in Estonia with 200 students and schools in other countries, I am very keen on teacher and student exchange, education is the main priority.
I have started a dialogue with few international teaching institutes, I just wish to widen the number of those who  ol want to take part.
the global vision of transpersonal education is very important, if we do not want to become another close and isolated school of psychological theory.
So Margot lets move ahead, please write to me about your activities, i am always looking for intresting people to invite to Estonia, so far I had John Rowan and Vitor Rodrigues.
with hope
